I held my Mother's hand as she passed in the doctors office. This always makes me cry. Make sure the people you love are loved abundantly. You can never love enough. Listen to them, hug them, flowers, anything you can do to make them smile.
Dad was different, Was hoping to get him home from the hospital but he had complications and when I saw him at 5a.m. he was breathing like a freight train and all but gone. I knew I wasnt getting him home. God please bless and keep both my folks. And thank you for the blessings they are to me.
I'm a 57-year-old widow, after 23 years of marriage. I would drive to the river and blast this song, over and over, and over nearly every night when my husband was dying. The end of this song is really difficult to hear. His voice saying "Keep holding on" while getting further away mixed with the choir getting louder produces such powerful imagery... It's like a painful kind of peace.

This song resonates with me. My mom just passed away on January 27th. It was unexpected. She didn't have health insurance so never went to the doctor. We found out she had a blood clot in her left lung. In her legs as well. She ended up having two stroke's that caused brain death.My dad printed out medical records and she may have had cancer but we don't know which. It's been really hard for me. It's not something I want to accept.

My father just passed away a few days ago. I showed this song to him when his sister passed away in 2014, though I'm sure he forgot. I want desperately to just share this song with him again. I wanna sing this to him, I want him to hear it more than anything. The hardest part isn't him being gone but knowing that I can't be there for him anymore. I love you, Dad.
