Addiction and mental illness go hand in hand. Just lost my sister a couple days ago to both and this song was what always made me think of her, I never imagined I'd have to bury her. To the ones able to pull yourself out of addiction and depression and all else. I truly salute you it is no easy thing whatsoever keep your head up always. You overcame one of the most difficult challenges anyone could face

Since everyone else is telling their story ill share mine, i was a newly devorced man that would have gave the world to save his marriage. I still am addicted to drinking but slowly working through it. I had a gun, cocked and loaded in my mouth more times that i care to admit. The only thing that made me put it down was my family and my dog. I still feel like a pussy for not doing it and still might see it through someday. For the time being songs like this help.

I used to drink from sun up to sundown....one day I went to my neurologist and I was beyond hammered and she had me go get bloodwork done...sadly that same night she left my mum a voice mail and found my liver levels were shot...I was rushed to the hospital and hospitalized for 3 weeks...luckily I didn't need a liver transplant!! I went to aa for a while..I need to go start going again...#IKNOWJENNY
